Three dead, three injured in jeep accident

Baitadi–Three people were killed and three others injured in a jeep accident took place today at Dashrathchand municipality-11 in Baitadi.

The jeep (Ga 1 Ja 4921) en route to Nagarjun from Dehimandau met with an accident at Nanigadh at around 11:30 am.

The deceased have been identified as Hira Ballav Bhatta of around 45 years of age of Barakot, Dashrathchand municipality-10 and Naruli Bhatta of around 65 years of age of the same locality while the identity of the third is yet to be ascertained, the District Police Office, Baitadi said.

The injured are Prakash Bhatta and jeep driver Nabin Bhatta of Dashrathchand municipality-10 and Rahul Bhatta of Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur.

The cause of the accident is yet to be known. It fell some 150 meters down from the road. Investigations are underway. ---
