Call to make relief works effective

Kathmandu–Speaker of the House of Representatives Krishna Bahadur Mahara has made a special request to the government and stakeholders to make rescue and relief works effective, without any delay in the aftermath of the natural disaster in Bara and Parsa districts. Issuing a statement here today, he has also expressed sorrow over the loss of life and property in the incident, while urging the government to not let any stone unturned in the medical treatment of the injured. 


In a similar statement, National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timalsena has urged the government for speedy rescue and relief to the survivors, proper compensation to the families of the deceased and those affected. He has also drawn the attention of the concerned agencies towards exercising alertness in ensuring that such unfortunate incidents are curtailed in the future.
