Pokhara– The ninth convention of the Nepal Press Union Kaski chapter has elected a new working committee under the leadership of Nabin Sigdel.
The voting held on Sunday elected Sigdel as President and Pradeep Poudel as secretary. Other remaining positions were fulfilled unanimously.
Among other elected office-bearers were Prakash Chandra Sapkota (open), Rabeena Ale (women), Bijaya Lamsal (treasurer) and Jyoti Hamal (joint secretary).
Members in the committee nominated included Kamal Poudel, Santosh Basyal, Thagaraj Sharma, Santosh Subedi, Hari Pant, Dhan Bahadur Gurung (Suman), Madhu Adhikari, Samrat Gurung, Subhas Poudel, Anisha (Jayanti) Shrestha, Subhas Acharya, Mahendra Dhungana, Sapana Adhikari, Bhawana Shrestha and Bijaya Nepali.
The convention unanimously elected 32 central council members, including Shiromani Baral, Gangadhar Parajuli, Rabindranath Bastola, Taranath Gautam, Bharat Koirala, Basudev Poudel, Bimala Bhandari and Saraswoti Gurung. Also, the convention elected 46 province council members including Tanka Raj Adhikari, Kamal Poudel and Himnidhi Laudari unopposed. ---
