Free eye-camp benefits Lamki folks

Lamki– A total of 1,575 people underwent eye check-up at a free eye- camp organised at Bhuruwa of Lamki, Kailali on Saturday. This was the first health camp of such a kind held in the village, said locals. 


The camp jointly organised by the Kisan Multipurpose Limited, Lamki and Charity of Health Society was technically supported by Dhangadhi Netralaya. The locality has no eye facility and people of here have the compulsion to visit either Tikapur or Dhangadhi to receive the service, said a local Devanand Jaisi. 


Among the service recipients, 945 are female and 630 are male. Of them, 262 were the patients of cataract and pinguecula and they have been referred to Dhangadhi for further treatment. Likewise, 590 were provided eye glasses free of cost. ---
