New building of police post at Thambuchet

Rasuwa–Thambuchet Police Post, which was constructed under the post-earthquake reconstruction plan, was inaugurated on Monday. 


The new building was constructed at the cost of Rs 16.4 million with financial assistance from the National Reconstruction Authority. 


Deepak Kumar Thapa, Province-3 Security Chief and Deputy Inspector General of Police, inaugurated the building amidst a programme. 


He expressed commitment that the Nepal Police would not leave any stones unturned to maintain law and order and also urged the community to cooperate with the security agencies by sharing information about the criminal incidents if any. 
Thambuchet police post was first established in 2042 BS. The newly-constructed seven-room building has male and female detention centre, office operation room, police officers and constable rooms. 


The construction of four out of 12 police posts in the district has been completed while remaining buildings are under construction phase. 


On the occasion, a letter of appreciation was handed over to the Chilime Hydropower Centre for granting right of its land to the police for consumption purpose. ---
