Sankhu–Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police and Metropolitan Police Office Chief Shailesh Thapa said guardians should be mainly responsible for the security of children.
He said this at a public awareness programme organized by Community Police Partnership Budhanilakantha Municiplaity-12 ward committee and school police partnership coordination committee Prashanti Academy Kapan.
On the occasion, DSP Thapa cautioned guardians for children security. “Guardians should show concern whether or not their children return to home after school on time and who they are in company with”.
He further said that the social crimes and fear would be lessened only with the collaboration between citizens and police.
DIG Thapa had imparted training to students and guardians of 11 schools on growing child sexual exploitation, cyber crime, drug abuse and human trafficking and safety measures.
