Kathmandu–Dal Bahadur Bisankhe, 58, died while his wife was injured after a tipper (Na 7 Kha 7005) hit the couple at 6 this morning in Balaju Bypass in the capital city, police said.
The tipper heading to airport from Mudkhubhanjyang by carrying mud crushed the Bisankhe couple after it skidded off the wall, Chief of Traffic Police Circle, Naya Bus Park Jaya Jung Karki said. Dal Bahadur died while receiving treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj while his wife is being treated at the same hospital.
Police have held the tipper driver, it is said.
