Martadi– A total of 313 households (HHs) from Dalit community in ward no. 4, 5, 6 and 7 in remote Himali Rural Municipality in Bajura district have been provided with the improved woven.
The economically marginalized HHs from the community were given the improved woven to promote smoke-free kitchens.
Alternative Energy Promotion Centre provided grants to the District Dalit Empowerment Network to distribute the smoke-free woven to the needy ones, network’s district chairman Gorakh Sarki said. According to Sarki, the smoke-free woven is expected to contribute to the good health of the members in the Dalit families and added that remaining other families in the wards would be given such woven in the next phase.
