Parliamentary Hearing for Election Commissioner Nominees Scheduled for Tomorrow

Kathmandu. The parliamentary hearing for the proposed Okhaldhunga resident Gurupasad Wagle and Kathmandu resident Dr. Rajiv Subba, who have been recommended for appointment as Election Commissioners, will be held tomorrow. The Parliamentary Hearing Committee of the Federal Parliament has called a meeting on Tuesday at 11:15 AM in the committee room of the Finance Committee at Singha Durbar to hear the proposed Wagle and Subba. 

The committee will invite Wagle and Subba to the meeting and discuss their qualifications, work plan, and concept. After the hearing process is completed, the committee will decide whether to approve their names or not. After their names are approved by the committee, there is a constitutional provision for the President to appoint them as Election Commissioners.

According to a notice issued by the committee's deputy secretary Sabitra Sharma, various other issues will also be discussed in addition to the hearing.
