Five Arrested in Morang for Alleged Rape of Minor

Morang. Police have taken five people into custody on suspicion of rape of a minor in Morang.

On the morning of July 19, 18-year-old Mohammad Arman, a city driver from Sunbarsi Municipality, Morang, lured a minor from the same municipality to Yumi Cafe located in Rangi Municipality-03.

There, Arman committed rape by coercion with various temptations. Police said that subsequently, the cafe owner, 21-year-old Suman Kumar Sah, also committed rape against the minor.

Similarly, on July 20, at around 9:00 PM, 20-year-old Karan Mandal from Rangi Municipality-07 took the victim minor to 'The Nineties' cafe near Sansari Temple in Rangi Municipality-07. A complaint has been filed that Mandal, along with 18-year-old Priyanshu Sah and 18-year-old Ritik Yadav, committed gang rape there.

Following the complaint about the incident, a joint police team from the District Police Office Morang and the Area Police Office Rangi arrested all five involved in the incident on the afternoon of July 25.

Those arrested include 18-year-old Mohammad Arman residing in Rangi-03 Amtole, 21-year-old Suman Kumar Sah residing in Sunbarsi-09, 20-year-old Karan Mandal residing in Rangi-07 Hardi Tole, 18-year-old Priyanshu Sah residing in Rangi-07, and 18-year-old Ritik Yadav residing in Rangi-06.

All those arrested are being held at the Area Police Office Rangi for further investigation, Morang Police said.
