Nepali Congress Leader Expresses Dissatisfaction with Party Management

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress's Far-Western Province President Bir Bahadur Balayar has expressed dissatisfaction with the party's internal management and the renewal of active membership. Speaking at a program organized at Pragya Pratishthan on the occasion of BP's 44th memorial day, Balayar, targeting some decisions and working styles within the party, warned that they are still within a limited boundary (Laxman Rekha) but if shortcomings are ignored, their steps will move forward. Leader Balayar said that the process of updating active membership should be just. He said, 'Updating membership is not something to be done by cramming in a fast track.' 'It remains to be seen how many of the currently updated active members will remain.' Raising questions about the working style of the party leadership, Balayar said, 'The tickets given by Sher Bahadur Deuba for provincial, local, and proportional representation in the House of Representatives will be valid, but the membership renewed by Deuba himself will not be valid, what kind of policy is this?' Clarifying that they have always been in favor of regular conventions, he expressed the view that the party's senior leaders should be respected. He said that they cannot stand by and watch the disrespect of senior leaders. Clarifying that he has not taken anyone's favor or grant in politics, he said, 'We have not done politics of grant, we have done politics with our own strength and capability.' Urging his supporters and cadres not to be disappointed, leader Balayar informed that they will now plan new programs to reach the ward level. He said, 'We have already stepped out of our doorstep, our steps will not stop now.'
