Bagmati Province Government Suspends Non-Essential Transport Services

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Labor and Transport of the Bagmati Province Government has suspended non-essential transport-related services for the time being.

Issuing a notice, the ministry stated that services have been suspended due to ongoing technical improvements and tax revisions in transport-related systems.

The ministry mentioned that 'database migration' is underway to make various transport sector systems more organized and user-friendly, in accordance with the public request notice issued by the Department of Transport Management, Minbhawan on Shrawan 4. Additionally, the process of entering and matching new tax rates set by the provincial government into the system is also ongoing.

According to the ministry, these technical tasks are estimated to take approximately one week to complete fully. Therefore, all transport-related services except for essential ones have been suspended until further notice, as stated in the notice issued by the ministry.
