Two Dead, One Injured in Nepal Electricity Authority Vehicle Accident in Sunsari

Sunsari. Two people have died and one person has been injured in a vehicle accident involving the Nepal Electricity Authority Dharan office. The vehicle accident occurred near the Seuti bridge at Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-20 on the Dharan-Itahari Koshi Lokmarg last night.

The Scorpio vehicle, Ba1Yaa 1651, which was traveling from Dharan to Itahari, met with an accident at around 11:30 PM, informed Chandra Bahadur Khadka, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Sunsari.

Birkha Rai, the driver from Dharan-13, and Suman Acharya, an employee of the Nepal Electricity Authority from Dharan-16, were seriously injured in the accident. Both were taken to the BP Koirala Health Sciences Institute in Dharan for treatment, where doctors declared them dead at around 12:45 AM, said Information Officer Khadka.

Pawan Rai from Dharan-20, who was injured in the accident, is undergoing treatment at the BP Institute. The District Police Office, Sunsari stated that the incident is under investigation.
