Suspicious Vehicles Parked Outside Media Houses and Supermarket Prompt Security Alert

Kathmandu. Security agencies have become alert after suspicious vehicles were parked outside various media houses and Bhatbhateni Supermarket in Kathmandu on Monday morning.

According to information received, vehicles have been parked outside the office gates of Kantipur Publication in Tinkune, OnlineKhabar in New Baneshwor, and Himalaya Television in Middle Baneshwor. It is reported that this has caused problems for the movement of media personnel.

Police have removed the vehicle parked in front of the Kantipur Publication gate using a crane. Similarly, police are investigating another vehicle that has been parked since around 7 am in front of Bhatbhateni Supermarket in Anamnagar.

Police have stated that they are searching for the owners of the vehicles parked suspiciously. Police have also stated that further investigation into the incident is underway and necessary security precautions have been taken.

Earlier, the Federation of Nepali Journalists had also drawn attention to the incident where vehicles were parked suspiciously at the gates of media houses, obstructing the movement of journalists, and demanded that the obstruction be removed immediately, the security of journalists be ensured, and legal action be taken against the culprits after investigating the incident.
