Nepali Congress General Secretary Pradip Poudel Meets Injured Activist Majid Ansari at Teaching Hospital

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress General Secretary Pradip Poudel has reached Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj and met with Jinji activist Majid Ansari. Ansari and other Jinji activists had gone to the holding center where the landless were kept in Kirtipur, and there was a scuffle between the Jinji activists and the police.

During that time, Ansari was injured by a police baton and is currently undergoing treatment at the Teaching Hospital. Poudel went to the same hospital to meet Ansari.

Poudel informed that he went to the hospital and met Ansari. Poudel also stated that when he met Ansari, Ansari asked, 'What crime did I commit that this was done to me?'.

Poudel said that Ansari has become a victim of the attitude of suppressing the questions of the common people. At the same time, Poudel questioned, 'Does the government want no one to question whatever it does?'. Poudel stated that in a democracy, dissent, criticism, and questions are the basis of accountability and good governance.
