Kalimati Market Sets Wholesale Prices for Agricultural Produce

Kathmandu. Kalimati Fruit and Vegetable Market Development Committee has determined the maximum wholesale price of agricultural produce for today. According to the committee, the wholesale price per kilo is Rs 45 for large tomatoes (Nepali), Rs 12 for small tomatoes (local), Rs 22 for small tomatoes (tunnel), Rs 46 for red potatoes (long), Rs 43 for red potatoes (round), Rs 44 for red potatoes (mud), Rs 32 for red potatoes (Indian), Rs 32 for white potatoes, and Rs 55 for dried onions (Indian).

Similarly, Rs 110 per kilo for carrots (local), Rs 100 per kilo for carrots (Terai), Rs 40 per kilo for cabbage (local), Rs 90 per kilo for cauliflower (local), Rs 35 per kilo for red radish, Rs 30 per kilo for white radish (hybrid), Rs 25 per kilo for long eggplant, and Rs 40 per kilo for round eggplant have been set.

According to the committee, Rs 40 per kilo for tined beans, Rs 50 per kilo for corn beans, Rs 60 per kilo for ghee beans (local), Rs 60 per kilo for ghee beans (hybrid), Rs 90 per kilo for ghee beans (rajma), Rs 60 per kilo for striped beans, Rs 120 per kilo for soybean pods, Rs 30 per kilo for bitter gourd, Rs 35 per kilo for bottle gourd, Rs 40 per kilo for parwal (local), Rs 40 per kilo for parwal (Terai), Rs 30 per kilo for chichindo, Rs 40 per kilo for ridge gourd, Rs 50 per kilo for jhinguni, Rs 60 per kilo for ripe pumpkin, Rs 90 per kilo for green pumpkin (long), Rs 25 per kilo for green pumpkin (round), Rs 40 per kilo for okra, Rs 120 per kilo for sweet potato, and Rs 100 per kilo for taro have been set. Iskus is priced at Rs 50 per kilo.

Mustard greens are priced at Rs 40 per kilo, spinach at Rs 60 per kilo, chamsur greens at Rs 60 per kilo, mustard greens at Rs 50 per kilo, green onions at Rs 100, mushroom (Kanya) at Rs 280 per kilo, mushroom (Dalle) at Rs 400 per kilo, king mushroom at Rs 300 per kilo, and shitake mushroom at Rs 1,000 per kilo.

Asparagus is priced at Rs 300 per kilo, niguro at Rs 100 per kilo, broccoli at Rs 100 per kilo, beetroot at Rs 70 per kilo, red cabbage at Rs 70 per kilo, jiri greens at Rs 90 per kilo, celery at Rs 200 per kilo, parsley at Rs 350 per kilo, fennel greens at Rs 60 per kilo, mint at Rs 200 per kilo, gante moola at Rs 60 per kilo, tamarind at Rs 180 per kilo, tama at Rs 150 per kilo, tofu at Rs 160 per kilo, and gundruk at Rs 350 per kilo.

Apples (Fuji) are priced at Rs 300 per kilo, bananas (Nepali) at Rs 250 per dozen, bananas (Malbhog) at Rs 200, lemons at Rs 170 per kilo, pomegranates at Rs 500 per kilo, mangoes (Maldah) at Rs 150 per kilo, mangoes (Dasheri) at Rs 160 per kilo, watermelons (green) at Rs 70 per kilo, oranges at Rs 300 per kilo, pineapples at Rs 200 per piece, cucumbers (local) at Rs 80 per kilo, cucumbers (hybrid) at Rs 30 per kilo, cucumbers (local cross) at Rs 60 per kilo, tree jackfruit at Rs 50 per kilo, papaya (Nepali) at Rs 90 per kilo, papaya (Indian) at Rs 120 per kilo, coconuts (raw) at Rs 70 per kilo, and coconuts (green) at Rs 170 per kilo.

Ginger is priced at Rs 200 per kilo, dried chilies at Rs 500 per kilo, green chilies (long) at Rs 50 per kilo, green chilies (bullet) at Rs 40 per kilo, mache chilies at Rs 50 per kilo, bhede chilies at Rs 70 per kilo, akbare chilies at Rs 250 per kilo, green garlic at Rs 100 per kilo, green coriander at Rs 200 per kilo, dried garlic (Chinese) at Rs 200 per kilo, dried garlic (Nepali) at Rs 180 per kilo, dried chhyapi at Rs 200 per kilo, dried fish at Rs 1,000 per kilo, fresh fish (Rahu) at Rs 340 per kilo, fresh fish (Bachuwa) at Rs 300 per kilo, and fresh fish (Chhadi) at Rs 300 per kilo have been determined.
