Six Seriously Injured in Bajhang Bolero Jeep Accident Airlifted to Nepalgunj

Dhangadhi. Six seriously injured in a Bolero jeep accident in Kedarsyu Rural Municipality-7 of Bajhang have been taken to Nepalgunj for further treatment.

According to the District Police Office, Bajhang, a Nepal Army helicopter that reached Bajhang on Saturday for the rescue of the injured has taken them to Nepalgunj. The police informed that the helicopter rescued the injured in batches of two.

The injured taken to Nepalgunj include Rambahadur Mahata, Harkadevi Mahata, Jayamatidevi Mahata, Jhalkadevi Mahata from Durgathali Rural Municipality-6 and Debahadur Dhami from Kedarsyu Rural Municipality-7.

After the accident, they were rescued and brought to the District Hospital Bajhang on Saturday night. The police stated that as necessary treatment was not possible at the hospital, they were referred to Nepalgunj for further treatment.

The Bolero jeep with registration number Supra 01-001 Cha 2664, which was traveling from Bugal Municipality to Durgathali Rural Municipality on Saturday afternoon, met with an accident in Kedarsyu Rural Municipality-7. Three people died on the spot in the accident, while 13 people were injured.

A Nepal Army helicopter reached Bajhang on Saturday for rescue after the incident, but could not land at the accident site due to bad weather. The helicopter then landed at the district headquarters, Chainpur. After the injured were taken to the district hospital by ambulance late at night, those in serious condition were sent to Nepalgunj by helicopter on Sunday.
