Ganesh Nepali Dies at Bir Hospital After Self-Immolation Attempt; Security Tightened

Kathmandu. Security has been tightened at Bir Hospital after 25-year-old Ganesh Nepali of Soru Rural Municipality-1, Mugu, who was critically injured in a self-immolation attempt, died. Nepali died at the hospital during treatment on Friday. A crowd of the victim's side is currently increasing at Bir Hospital. They are expressing their anger, demanding that the person who forced him to die should also be punished. Preparations were also being made to take Nepali to New Delhi, India, for further treatment as his condition worsened. However, the hospital stated that it was not possible to transfer him due to his unstable health condition. Despite the tireless efforts of the doctors, he eventually died during treatment. He had attempted self-immolation in Tripureshwor on Thursday.
