Weather Forecast: Thunderstorms and Rain Expected Across Nepal

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has released the weather forecast for the major cities of the country for Thursday. According to the weather details for today afternoon and night, there is a strong possibility of thunderstorms and rain in most parts of the country.< /p>

Today afternoon, the maximum temperature in Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj, and Simara is estimated to reach the highest, i.e., between 34 to 36 degrees Celsius. During the afternoon, moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is likely in many cities of the country such as Dadeldhura, Dipayal, Dhangadhi, Birendranagar, Nepalgunj, Jumla, Ghorahi, Pokhara, Bhairahawa, Kathmandu, Okhaldhunga, Dhankuta, Biratnagar, Dharan, Jiri, and Taplejung.< /p>

Similarly, in Simara, Jomsom, and Janakpur, light rainfall with thunderstorms is mentioned in the weather forecast for the afternoon. The possibility of rain in the afternoon is highest, up to 70 percent, in Pokhara, Kathmandu, Bhairahawa, Birendranagar, Dhangadhi, Dipayal, and Dadeldhura.< /p>

The weather tonight also appears to be rainy and thundery in most parts of the country. During the night, moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in all major cities except Jomsom, while Jomsom has only a possibility of light rainfall with thunderstorms.< /p>

During the night, the minimum temperature will drop to 14 to 16 degrees Celsius in Jomsom, while it is estimated to be 15 to 17 degrees in Jumla and 17 to 19 degrees Celsius in Dadeldhura, Okhaldhunga, and Jiri. At night, the possibility of rain is highest, 70 percent, in Pokhara and Kathmandu, while this possibility is lowest, only 30 percent, in Jomsom. < /p>
