2,066 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand and sixty-six drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Rs 1,860,003 in revenue has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 65 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 122 for illegal 'ride sharing', 120 for signal violations, and 114 for speeding.

Similarly, 142 were penalized for not following 'lane' discipline, 74 for honking in prohibited areas, 103 for 'parking' on sidewalks, 89 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand two hundred and thirty-seven for not following other traffic rules.
