Weather Forecast: Monsoon Influence Across Nepal with Potential for Heavy Rainfall and Thunderstorms

Kathmandu. Currently, the monsoon wind's influence is present across the country, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated. The low-pressure line of the monsoon is located around the average position in the eastern and western parts of Nepal.

Due to this influence, there is generally cloudy weather across the country. Moderate rainfall is occurring in some places in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in a few places in the remaining provinces until midday.

This afternoon, the weather will be generally cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the Tarai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces, and in a few places in the Tarai regions of Madhesh Province as well as Koshi Province.  

There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces. There is a possibility of strong winds in some places in the Tarai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces.  

Tonight, the weather will be mostly cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places in the mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.

There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some places in the hilly and Tarai regions of Madhesh Province as well as Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces, and in a few places in the hilly regions of Karnali Province.  

There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly and Tarai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces. There is also a possibility of very heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
