Man Arrested for Exposing Private Parts to Woman in Lalitpur

Kathmandu. Police have arrested a man for exposing his private parts to a young woman walking alone in a street in Imadol, Lalitpur.

The victim uploaded a video of the man on the social media TikTok around 6:30 PM on Sunday. The accused, Surendra Bhatta, originally from Baitadi, was arrested, SP Gautam Mishra of the District Police Complex Lalitpur told Ratopati. Accused Bhatta is a government employee. It is known that he is working in the Education Development and Coordination Unit.

The victim alleges that Bhatta opened his clothes and exposed his private parts after seeing her alone in the alley. Then, she bravely followed him, recording a video with her smartphone, and urged him to be arrested. The video shows that after another traveler took the accused under control, the victim made him bow at her feet and the accused said 'Sorry'.

Based on the complaint filed by the victim, the Imadol Police Post had started an investigation into the matter. Investigating officers say that the investigation into the incident is ongoing after collecting CCTV footage.
