Radiologists Association Demands Strict Enforcement of Law for Radiology Services

Kathmandu. The Nepal Radiologists Association has demanded full compliance with the legal provision that only registered doctors can provide radiology services.

A statement signed by the association's president Dr. Tejendra Karki mentions that only registered doctors, in accordance with the Nepal Medical Council Act, prevailing laws, and prescribed standards, are eligible to provide modern medical and radiology-related services.

It has been stated that the full compliance of this legal provision and the effective implementation of the campaign against illegal medical practice are the primary needs of the present time. 

It is mentioned that activities such as providing services, preparing medical reports, or misleading patients without the necessary qualifications, training, and legal permission, especially in highly sensitive fields like radiology and imaging services, create serious risks to the health and safety of patients.
