Earthquake in Venezuela Claims 2,645 Lives, Injures 12,666

Kathmandu. The number of people who died in the earthquake in Venezuela has reached two thousand 645, and 12 thousand 666 have been injured, said the Speaker of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Jorge Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, who is also the head of the command center for temporary camps, said through Telegram that 6,462 people have been rescued and 86,117 families have received assistance.

He said that 885 buildings were damaged by the earthquake and 189 other buildings were destroyed. It is said that the authorities have set up 59 temporary camps to accommodate the affected people.

He said that 3,305 international rescuers and 29,567 emergency responders have been deployed across the country to deal with the emergency in Venezuela.
