2,042 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 1.33 Million Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand and forty-two drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. A revenue of Rs 1.33 million has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 56 people were penalized for driving under the influence of alcohol, 121 for illegal 'ride sharing', 87 for violating signal lights, and 173 for speeding.

Similarly, 128 were penalized for not following 'lane' discipline, 87 for honking in prohibited areas, 85 for 'parking' on sidewalks, 56 for driving on one-way roads, and one thousand two hundred and forty-nine for not following other traffic rules.
