Nepal Oil Corporation Slashes Fuel Prices Significantly

Kathmandu. Nepal Oil Corporation has made a significant reduction in the prices of petroleum products.

The decision to reduce the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene, aviation fuel, and cooking LP gas was taken by the Corporation's Board of Directors. The new price rate will be effective from the 17th. 

According to the Corporation, the price of petrol has been reduced by 20 rupees per liter and diesel and kerosene by 30 rupees per liter. With this, the new retail selling price of petrol in third-class areas like Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal has been fixed at 177 rupees per liter and the price of diesel at 155 rupees. 

Similarly, the price of cooking LP gas, which is connected to the consumer's kitchen, has been reduced by 100 rupees per cylinder. Now consumers will be able to purchase one cylinder of gas for 2060 rupees. The price of aviation fuel (domestic) has also been reduced by 40 rupees per liter. 

The Corporation has stated that this adjustment has been made according to the automatic pricing system based on the decline in the prices of petroleum products in the international market and the new purchase price received from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The Corporation has set new prices by dividing the country's various locations into three categories based on transportation distance.
