Bhim Rawal Stresses Practical Socialism for Nepal

Kathmandu. Nepali Communist Party leader Dr. Bhim Rawal has stated that socialism that is implemented in practice, not just in words, is necessary. Speaking at the book launch program of former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal on Monday, Rawal offered four suggestions for reaching socialism in Nepal's context.

These are his four suggestions-

1. Socialism that unites Nepal's communist parties by keeping the nation's supreme interest paramount is necessary.

2. In 2006, Pushpalal spoke of socialism that would free Nepal from an interdependent self-reliant economy, end the exploitation of farmers in agriculture, and abolish all unequal treaties and agreements. That must be put into practice. Writing large volumes of text achieves nothing.

3. Socialism that makes Nepal an independent and prosperous country before the world is necessary. Natural resources, assets, and manpower must be utilized and operated in the supreme interest of the nation. Does scientific socialism come by forming alliances with those of opposing ideologies after reaching party leadership, or by forming alliances in elections? Work must be done. The hearts of the people must be won by proving through work.

4. Communists must engage in nationalist movements. The Prime Minister has made a statement saying that India has encroached upon Nepal's land. At such a time, socialism that silences its voice and protects the country's borders is needed.
