Ramesh Ruchhen Rai receives Madan Bhandari National Award 2082

Kathmandu. Writer and researcher Ramesh Ruchhen Rai has been awarded the Madan Bhandari National Award-2082. The Madan Bhandari Foundation had selected his research-based work 'Shwetashardul' for the award.

Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari presented the award to Rai at a special ceremony organized at the National Auditorium on Sunday on the occasion of the 75th birth anniversary of Madan Bhandari. The award carries a cash prize of two lakh rupees and a letter of appreciation. Rai, a permanent resident of Kerabari, Suryodaya Municipality-11, Ilam, has been writing on politics, development, and contemporary issues. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of People's Leader Madan Bhandari, the Foundation has been awarding individuals or organizations that have made significant contributions to documenting and disseminating his personality, thoughts, political life, and contributions through study, research, memoir writing, and publication.

Rai, who was awarded the Madan Bhandari National Award 2082, said that he took about 10 years to prepare the work 'Shwetashardul'. He also said that he tried to introduce Madan through his work.
