1,922 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 511,501 Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, one thousand 922 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Rs 511,501 revenue has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 92 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 78 for illegal 'ride sharing', 129 for violating signal lights, and 139 for speeding.

Similarly, action has been taken against 41 for not following 'lane' discipline, 67 for honking in prohibited areas, 10 for operating vehicles with black film, 70 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand 296 for not following other traffic rules.
