2,641 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 641 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Revenue of Rs 2.296 million 508 has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 79 were penalized for driving under the influence of alcohol, 147 for illegal 'ride sharing', 154 for signal violations, and 122 for speeding.

Similarly, 119 were penalized for not following 'lane' discipline, 113 for honking in prohibited areas, 119 for parking vehicles on the sidewalk, 100 for driving on one-way roads, and one thousand 688 for not following other traffic rules.
