Animation Film Festival to be Held in Nepal

Kathmandu. For the first time in Nepal, 'Animation Film Festival' is going to be organized. The Nepal Animation and VFX Artists Association is organizing this festival with the aim of developing and promoting animation. The festival, themed 'Nepal as I See It', will be held in October.< /p>

The organizers unveiled the official mascot of the festival, 'Aaffe', at a program in the capital. The organizers stated that 'Aaffe', based on the national bird of Nepal, the Danphe, has been designed inspired by the creative style of the great artist Arniko. This mascot represents the vibrant imagination and creativity of Nepali artists. The festival will feature exhibitions of animated short films, a concept art challenge, and various animation competitions. < /p>

Applications for animated and VFX-based short films ranging from 2 to 10 minutes have been opened for the festival. Artists, animators, and filmmakers from Nepal and around the world can participate in this.< /p>

Along with the festival, the association has announced the launch of an online portal called 'CareerBoard' with the aim of connecting skilled manpower in the animation sector with employment-providing companies.< /p>

A video presentation by 12 Nepali artists working in international film and game studios was shown at the program, highlighting the growing influence and contribution of Nepali animators in the global market.< /p>
