1,782 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 494,000 Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, one thousand 782 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Rs 494,000 revenue has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 83 people for consuming alcohol, 75 for illegal 'ride sharing', 82 for violating signal lights, and 110 for speeding were penalized.

Similarly, 65 for not following 'lane' discipline, 71 for honking in prohibited areas, 87 for parking vehicles on the sidewalk, 68 for driving on one-way roads, and one thousand 141 people for not following other traffic rules were penalized.
