Rastriya Swatantra Party Convention to Feature Electronic Voting

Chitwan. Electronic voting facility will be available at the National Independent Party (RSP) convention. According to RSP Election Commission Chief Bhuvan KC, voters will be able to vote by touching the names and photos of the candidates on the electronic device.

The first phase of voting is estimated to take about six hours. In the first phase, voting will be held for one chairman and 99 members.

According to KC, the election for vice-chairman, general secretary, and deputy general secretary will be held in the second phase from the elected members. KC said that the nomination process will start at 2 PM on Asar 8 and the first phase of the election will be held that evening. After the first phase of the election is completed by the night of Asar 8, the second phase of the election will be held on Asar 9. The second phase of the election will be only for office bearers.

He estimated that there would be around three thousand representatives. Arrangements are being made for representatives who are abroad and cannot come to vote through RSP's own app.

Among the 170 representatives from abroad, those who cannot come will vote through the app. The RSP's Central Election Commission has a chief and 10 members. Although the chief and members of the Election Commission cannot contest, they have the provision to vote. Chief KC said that they will conduct a neutral election without voting.
