Bagmati Rural Municipality Presents Budget of 732 Million for Fiscal Year 2083-84

Makwanpur. Bagmati Rural Municipality of Makwanpur district has presented a budget of 73 crore 20 lakh for the upcoming fiscal year 2083-84. In the ninth session of the second rural assembly held on Friday, Vice-Chairman Phanindra Timsina presented a budget proposal of 73 crore 20 lakh rupees for the upcoming fiscal year.

Out of the total budget, 47 crore 29 lakh 4 thousand rupees have been proposed for current expenditure and 25 crore 29 lakh rupees for capital expenditure, informed Vice-Chairman Timsina. In the budget presented by Vice-Chairman Timsina, 35 crore 28 lakh 65 thousand rupees have been allocated for social development, 6 crore 5 lakh rupees for economic development, 16 crore 19 lakh rupees for infrastructure development, 30 crore 90 lakh rupees for good governance and interrelationships, and 12 crore 57 lakh rupees for office administrative expenses.

The rural municipality has stated that priority has been given to education, youth and sports, health, infrastructure, and agriculture sectors in the budget. Under the education, youth and sports sector, 50 lakh rupees have been allocated for the operation and management of Bagmati Football Academy and 40 lakh rupees for the National Bagmati Gold Cup. A total budget of 5 crore 10 lakh rupees has been set aside under this heading.

Similarly, to encourage farmers, 1 crore rupees have been allocated under the production-based subsidy program to provide a subsidy of up to 5 rupees per liter on milk produced by farmers.

For health, the rural municipality has proposed a budget of 75 lakh rupees for the operation and management of the 15-bed hospital that has been completed. In this policy, the rural municipality chairman Sarkesh Ghalan had presented the policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year in the rural assembly.
