City Safari Driver Arrested for Tying Calf to Vehicle

Biratnagar. After a video of torturing a calf by tying it behind a city safari and making it run on social media TikTok went viral, the police have arrested the city safari and its driver.

A team dispatched from the District Police Office, Morang, and its subordinate police offices searched and took the city safari and driver involved in the video under control.

Narayan Kamat, a resident of Biratnagar Metropolitan City-18 in Morang, has been arrested. The police have also recovered the city safari with registration number Pr. 1-02-004 Ha 4211, which he was driving.

Police immediately became active after the video of inhumanly torturing and driving the cow went viral on social media and took driver Kamat under control, informed Makendra Kumar Mishra, Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Morang. The police stated that the arrested driver is being kept at the District Police Office, Morang for further investigation and necessary action.
