2,556 Drivers Fined in Kathmandu Valley in 24 Hours

Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours in the Kathmandu Valley, two thousand 556 drivers have been booked for violating traffic rules. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has stated that revenue of Rs 2.239 million has been deposited into the state treasury from this. Traffic Police Spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Nareshraj Subedi informed that action was taken against 106 for drunk driving, 154 for illegal 'ride sharing', 107 for signal violation, and 183 for speeding.

According to him, a total of two thousand 556 people were booked, including 97 for not following 'lane' discipline, 109 for honking in prohibited areas, 98 for parking vehicles on the road shoulder, 30 for vehicles in mechanical condition not being okay, and one thousand 672 for not following other traffic rules.
