Infrastructure Committee Chairman Assures Policy Reforms for Energy Sector Development

Kathmandu. Infrastructure Development Committee Chairman Ashish Gajurel has stated that the government is ready to make policy reforms for the development of the energy sector.

Speaking while giving a welcome speech at the 24th General Assembly and 8th Convention of IPPAN on Friday, he said, 'If some reforms are needed at the policy level, please explain to us. Tell us if there is a problem in the energy sector. We can discuss and even give instructions to the concerned bodies if necessary,' he said.

Stating that the policy and programs and budget have been brought in a private sector-friendly manner, Gajurel also said that future policies will be made more private sector-friendly. 'We have brought a budget friendly to private investment. The private sector is needed to fulfill our policies. We will be even more private sector-friendly,' he said.
