UK Defence Secretary Resigns Over Funding Dispute

London. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the Ministry of Finance have not provided adequate resources for the Ministry of Defence's investment, leading Defence Minister John Healey to resign.

He wrote to Starmer in his resignation letter, "The Ministry of Finance appears unwilling to manage the budget and you have been unable to commit to securing the resources necessary to defend the nation in this time of increasing threat."
