2,297 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 2.02 Million Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 297 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Revenue of Rs 2.02 million has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 103 people for consuming alcohol, 134 for illegal 'ride sharing', 102 for signal light violations, and 108 for speeding.

Similarly, action has been taken against 141 for not following 'lane' discipline, 186 for honking in prohibited areas, 158 for 'parking' vehicles on sidewalks, 77 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand 288 for not following other traffic rules.
