Iran Reviews Talks With US After Military Strikes

Tehran. Iran has stated that it is reviewing potential talks between the two countries after the latest military attack by the United States. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghai said that Tehran is re-examining the state of talks in the background of the US attack. He also accused the US and Israel of repeatedly violating the ceasefire.

According to Baghai, minimum trust and a favorable environment are necessary for diplomatic talks to be effective. However, he accused the US of weakening such an environment through contradictory messages, repeated changes in its stance and demands, and violation of the ceasefire.

He claimed that Israel also showed a lack of goodwill by repeatedly attacking Lebanon. In the latest development, the US stated that it conducted military action against Iran in response to the incident where one of its military helicopters was shot down. The US military claimed that its attack was successfully completed.

In response to this, Iran stated that it launched a retaliatory attack targeting regional US objectives. As military tension between both sides increases, concerns about further instability in West Asia have grown.
