Prime Minister Balen Shah Reorganizes Cabinet, Appoints New Ministers

Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balendra (Balen) Shah has reorganized the cabinet. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Shah reorganized the cabinet by adding 2 ministers. Prime Minister Shah has appointed Sudhan Gurung as Home Minister and Mahabir Pun as Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation. Both newly appointed ministers took the oath of office and secrecy on Tuesday. The oath of office and secrecy was administered to both ministers by President Ramchandra Paudel at the Office of the President, Shital Niwas. Shah, who was appointed Prime Minister on Chaitra 13, has still kept the Ministry of Defense with himself. Gurung is a Member of Parliament elected from Gorkha-1 from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, and Pun is an independent candidate elected from Myagdi. This is the second entry into the government for both of them. Gurung was appointed Home Minister on Chaitra 13 and resigned from his post on Baisakh 9. Pun had become the Minister for Education, Science and Technology in the Sushila Karki-led government formed after the Janji movement.
