Rupandehi Police Seize Smuggled Goods Worth Over NPR 4 Lakh

Rupandehi. The District Police Office Rupandehi has seized boiler chickens, clothes, and daily necessities brought illegally through customs evasion from various places in the district.

A police team, during checks at various places in the district on Monday, took control of goods worth approximately Rs 4.10 lakh brought illegally through customs evasion and sent them to the concerned bodies for necessary action, informed Deputy Information Officer, Police Inspector Dinesh Bahadur Kunwar.

The police have seized boiler chickens worth Rs 1.83 lakh from Bishnupura of Rohini Rural Municipality-6 and Maryadpur of Kotihawa Mai Rural Municipality-3 and sent them to the Animal Quarantine Office, Belhiya for necessary action, he said.

Similarly, from Belhiya of Siddharthanagar Municipality-1 in the district, sarees, 'ladies suit tops', 'leggings', belts, bomb chocolates, tea leaves, chocolates, raw cloth pieces, and 'ladies sandals' worth Rs 2.26 lakh 460 have been seized and sent to the Customs Office, Belhiya for necessary action, it has been informed.
