Kapilvastu Police Arrest Fugitive Accused in Attempted Rape Case

Kapilvastu. Police in Kapilvastu have arrested a fugitive defendant in a case of attempted rape. Police have taken 45-year-old Nur Mohammad Musalman, a resident of Mauja Dhankouli in Ward No. 10 of Buddhabhumi Municipality in the district, into custody.

A case of attempted rape was registered against Musalman on Jestha 6. He had been absconding immediately after the incident. A police team from the Area Police Office, Gorusinge, was mobilized in search of the absconding defendant Musalman.

The deployed police team found him hiding and arrested him on Jestha 23. Police have obtained permission from the court to keep the arrested Musalman in custody and proceed with the legal process.

According to the Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office Kapilvastu, Ripendra Kumar Singh, the arrested defendant Musalman was presented in the District Court Kapilvastu on Jestha 25 for further investigation. With a 7-day extension granted by the court, the Area Police Office, Gorusinge, is conducting a detailed investigation into him.
