Rastriya Swatantra Party Holds District Conventions Nationwide

Kathmandu. As per the decision made by the central committee in line with the organizational policy of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, district conventions are being held across the country today and tomorrow.  

General Secretary Kabindra Burlaoti informed that conventions are being held in 36 districts of the country today.  

Today, conventions will be held in 8 districts of Koshi Province: Jhapa, Morang, Tehrathum, Taplejung, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Okhaldhunga, and Sunsari; 2 districts of Madhesh: Mahottari and Rautahat; 8 districts of Bagmati Province: Dolakha, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Nuwakot, Makwanpur, Kavre, Sindhupalchok, and Sindhuli; and 5 districts of Gandaki Province: Syangja, Kaski, Parbat, Baglung, and Myagdi. Similarly, conventions will also be held today in 8 districts of Lumbini Province: Gulmi, Nawalparasi, Palpa, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Bardiya, and Rolpa; 2 districts of Karnali Province: Kalikot and Salyan; and 3 districts of Sudurpashchim Province: Baitadi, Bajhang, and Dadeldhura.  

Tomorrow, conventions will be held in 4 districts of Koshi Province: Udayapur, Solukhumbu, Khotang, and Ilam; 4 districts of Madhesh Province: Siraha, Dhanusha, Parsa, and Sarlahi; 2 districts of Bagmati Province: Chitwan and Lalitpur; 4 districts of Gandaki Province: Tanahu, Nawalpur, Gorkha, and Lamjung; 3 districts of Lumbini Province: Arghakhanchi, Rupandehi, and Pyuthan; 6 districts of Karnali Province:  

Surkhet, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum, Muigu, and Jumla; and 6 districts of Sudurpashchim Province: Achham, Doti, Dadeldhura, Kailali, Kanchanpur, and Bajura. Due to the special circumstances of the organization, the Bara district convention is scheduled for Jestha 26.  

The party has a plan to complete conventions in 66 out of 77 districts before the first national convention. With this, the conventions of most of the districts where the party has its main organization will be completed. Conventions in the remaining 11 districts will be held gradually after the national convention.

Preparations are underway for the seven provincial conventions starting from Jestha 26. Burlaoti informed that the first provincial convention will start from Bagmati Province on Jestha 26.
