Weather Forecast: Moderate Rain Expected in Parts of Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, the upper atmosphere of Nepal is under the partial influence of the western low-pressure line and local winds, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has informed. As a result, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as other hilly and mountainous regions, are generally cloudy, while the Terai regions are mainly clear. Light to moderate rain is occurring in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Today afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country will be generally cloudy, while the Terai regions will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali provinces, and in one or two places in the Terai regions. Hot days are possible in some parts of the Terai regions of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Tonight, Koshi province and the hilly and mountainous regions of the country will be generally cloudy, while the Terai regions of Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain in some places in Koshi province and the mountainous regions of the country, and in one or two places in the Terai regions of Madhesh province and the hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the Department has informed.
