Bhimraj Angdembe Extends Greetings on Republic Day

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party leader Bhimraj Angdembe has extended heartfelt best wishes for happiness, peace, prosperity, and progress to all Nepali sisters and brothers residing in the country and abroad on the historic occasion of Republic Day. 

Issuing a message of goodwill on the occasion of Republic Day, he has paid heartfelt tribute to all known and unknown brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the historic struggles for Nepal's democratic movement, civil rights, and the establishment of people's power. He has expressed high respect for all citizens, political leadership, and injured and disappeared warriors struggling for change.

Leader Angdembe has mentioned that the day Nepal was declared a Federal Democratic Republic by the first meeting of the Constituent Assembly on Jestha 15, 2065 BS, was a decisive turning point in Nepali history. He clarified that this system was not achieved by coincidence, stating that it is a historic achievement established as a result of the long struggle, sacrifice, dedication, and democratic consciousness of the Nepali people. He emphasized that the Republic has made the Nepali people the true masters of the state, and this system has also ensured the basis of inclusivity, equality, social justice, and civil liberties.

Stating that the Republic is a symbol of the sovereign rights of the Nepali people, leader Angdembe has expressed the firm belief that no autocratic, dynastic, or unaccountable system can be an alternative to it. He stated that reforms, good governance, economic prosperity, and social justice should be ensured within the democratic system to further strengthen public trust.

He pointed out that a prosperous, inclusive, and developed Nepal is possible only through this path, and all parties must be responsible for protecting democratic values and norms.
