1,957 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 1,078,500 Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, one thousand 957 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Revenue of Rs 1,078,500 has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 23 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 144 for illegal 'ride sharing', 185 for violating traffic signals, and 181 for speeding.

Similarly, action has been taken against 87 for not following 'lane' discipline, 91 for honking in prohibited areas, 111 for parking vehicles on the roadside, 93 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand 42 for not following other traffic rules.
