Bhojpur-Dingla Road Blacktopping Begins

Bhojpur. Blacktopping has been started on the 'Bhojpur-Dingla' road section, which connects the northern region of Bhojpur to its main commercial center, Dingla. The construction has been divided into two sections and is progressing rapidly, according to the Infrastructure Development Office.

Office Chief Rajanraj Reddi said that blacktopping has been initiated on the approximately 17-kilometer road from Paitanki to Taintale under the first section. The physical progress of this road has reached approximately 55 percent so far.

The construction work of the first section is being carried out with an investment of approximately Rs 62 crore from the Koshi Province Government. As per the construction agreement, all work is to be completed by next February. "Blacktopping has started on the first section of the Bhojpur-Dingla road," said Chief Reddi, adding, "The office is regularly monitoring and facilitating to complete the work within the stipulated time, keeping quality in mind." The construction work of the second section, the approximately 16.5-kilometer road from Taintale to Dingla, is also underway.

Due to mud during the rainy season and excessive dust during the dry season, vehicle movement was difficult, affecting the transportation of patients, agricultural produce, and daily life. Local resident Bhimprasad Rai said that the problem of dust and mud has ended with the start of road blacktopping.

Construction company chief Shyam Shrestha informed that the target is to complete it before the contract period if the monsoon does not affect it. Road construction started from the month of Mangsir, 2080 BS. Local residents say that upon completion of this road project, it will support the economic, social, and physical infrastructure development of the northern region of the district.
