2,055 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 2.2 Million Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand and fifty-five drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Rs 2,211,502 has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 83 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 192 for illegal 'ride sharing', 109 for violating signal lights, and 102 for speeding.

Similarly, 146 were penalized for not following 'lane' discipline, 103 for honking in prohibited areas, 112 for parking vehicles on the sidewalk, 85 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand one hundred and twenty-three for not following other traffic rules.
