Gagan Thapa States Bakar Eid Conveys Message of Unity

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has stated that Bakar Eid has been successful in conveying a message of unity among all castes and religious groups. 

Extending wishes on the occasion of Bakar Eid, he wrote - Nepal is a nation endowed with multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-religious, and multi-cultural characteristics. In our society, which has been a confluence of various castes, languages, religions, cultures, and festivals since ancient times, a glorious tradition of mutual respect, tolerance, and goodwill has been maintained.

He further writes in the message of good wishes - 'With the belief that Bakar Eid (Eid-ul-Adha) will be successful in enhancing the spirit of mutual love, goodwill, cooperation, and social unity among Nepalis and conveying a message of unity to all castes and religious groups, I extend heartfelt wishes for happiness, peace, and prosperity from the party and myself to all Muslim sisters and brothers residing in the country and abroad.'
